Training Programs for Librarians

The National Diet Library (NDL) provides various training programs since 2002, due to the high demands of training for librarians. On the basis of our accumulated knowledge and techniques, we conduct training programs on our materials such as rare books, old materials, parliamentary documents, official publications, etc., and reference services, preservation, etc.
The programs are classified roughly into three types. The first type is: group training at the NDL facilities. The second is: e-learning program, which is a self-learning program accessible via the Internet. The third is: training program by dispatched NDL staff, in which our staff members visit institutions in Japan to give lectures.
