Details
The purpose of this course is to improve the reference services for information on economy, trade, and industry.
By focusing on statistics, we specify the four categories of information on economy, trade, and industry (economic information, market information, consumer information, and corporate information). We will study the characteristics of these materials and how to search for them.
Chapter 1: “Introduction”, Chapter 2: “Study Material”
Contents: The course explains the key learning points of the study materials, the learning contents, and the goal of learning.
Course duration: 5 minutes

Chapter 3: “Overview of information on economy, trade, and industry”
Contents: The course explains the type of information that is required to reference in the field of economy, trade, and industry. We also explain the characteristics of these materials.
Course duration: 15 minutes

Chapter 4: “How to research the different types of statistics”
Contents: The course explains the importance of statistics and discusses their characteristics by type. We also introduce typical statistics materials which are helpful in researching information on economy, trade, and industry.
Course duration: 75 minutes

Chapter 5: “How to research economic information”
Contents: The course explains the importance and characteristics of different economic information, such as economic trends and market situations. We also introduce typical materials on economic information.
Course duration: 25 minutes

Chapter 6: “How to research market information”
Contents: The course explains the importance and characteristics of market information, such as market size and market share. We also introduce typical materials on market information.
Course duration: 35 minutes

Chapter 7: “How to research consumer information”
Contents: The course explains the importance and characteristics of consumer information, such as consumption trends and consumer tastes. We also introduce typical materials on consumer information.
Course duration: 20 minutes

Chapter 8: “How to research corporate information”
Contents: The course explains the importance of corporate information. We also introduce securities reports and corporate yearbooks as typical research materials, and demonstrate how to use them.
Course duration: 30 minutes

Chapter 9: “Summary”
Contents: We confirm how much you learned using this study material.
Duration: 5 minutes

Final exam: Exam of 20 questions based on Chapters 1-9.
